SAMM!’s musical journey began in her early years of life, performing since she was 6 years old, she has never doubted music would be part of the rest of her life. From humble beginnings, music has always been her escape.
Surrounded by the powerful ballads of Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, and Celine Dion, courtesy of her Mother.
Meanwhile, her Father introduced her to the captivating sounds of 50s rock and roll and blues with legends like Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, and Fats Domino.
As she sought out more sounds, SAMM! dove into her brother’s music collection, discovering the impactful lyrics and sounds of Dre, Tupac, Eminem and many others, which ignited her creative spirit.
Her brother’s influence looms large in her life, as he encouraged her to “never be a sheep,” instilling a sense of individuality that has become a hallmark of her artistry.
However, early heartbreak struck when she suddenly lost her brother at a young age not long after. This profound loss shaped her understanding of life’s fragile nature and she channels these deep feelings, invites them into her honest and reflective songwriting.
One of her earliest music memories is receiving a gift card from her father, that he had received as a work Christmas gift.
SAMM! was able to purchase her first album, *The Writings on the Wall* by Destiny’s Child an album she still knows today by heart.
As a self-proclaimed “Lone Ranger,” SAMM! often seeks solitude, yet she embraces her individuality, knowing that vulnerability is a strength.
Her biggest fear is getting to the end of her life, looking back and asking “what if”..
SAMM! has an EP on the way that will truly show the Artist she is.
